Nothing extra is done without asking you first. If a watch turns out to need more than a battery, we call or email with the price and wait for your answer.
How it works
- Order online. Pick "Battery Replacement" on the order form, enter how many watches and your address, and pay by card.
- Get your label. You get a printable USPS Ground Advantage label by email right away, plus a QR code you can show at the Post Office if you don't have a printer.
- Pack and ship. Put the watch in a small box or padded envelope with your order number on a slip of paper. Packing tips here.
- We replace the battery within 1–2 business days after it arrives and email you when it ships back.
Before you send it
- Make sure it's a battery watch. Automatics wind themselves from wrist movement. Citizen Eco-Drive and Seiko Solar charge from light and usually just need a few hours in sunlight. See Citizen Eco-Drive stopped?
- Want to do it yourself? Our watch battery size chart shows the common sizes (377, 364, 371, CR2016 and so on) and how to find yours.
- Water resistance. Opening the case disturbs the gasket. If you swim or dive with the watch, call us before you ship so we can talk about it.
- Several watches? Send them in one box on one order. The $5 label covers the whole box.
Common questions
How much does it cost to replace a watch battery by mail?
At TimeIt Pro it is $20 per watch plus $5 for the prepaid USPS label you use to send it in. You pay online and we email you the label.
Do I need a printer for the shipping label?
No. Along with the printable label you get a QR code. Show it at any USPS Post Office counter and they print the label for you.
How long until I get my watch back?
We replace the battery within 1–2 business days after your watch arrives, then send it back by USPS with tracking. Add mail time each way.
Which watches can you do?
Most quartz watches: Seiko, Citizen (battery models), Casio, G-Shock, Timex, Fossil, Michael Kors, Bulova, Skagen, Invicta, Movado and others. Sealed cases, some dive watches and luxury pieces may need more than a battery. If so, we contact you with a price before doing anything.
My watch is an automatic or Eco-Drive. Does it need a battery?
No. Automatic (self-winding) watches have no battery, and Citizen Eco-Drive uses a light-charged rechargeable cell. Read our Eco-Drive page before sending one in.
